How Many Ways

How many ways can I say I will miss you
Find myself holding me within thinking of you
I can't play someone I can't become
I need your soothing touch for my love
I haven't watched for elsewhere
How many ways can I ask the lord again

Wherever You May Be

Wherever you may be
There comes a day
There comes a night
Wherever you may be

A share of time with the wind
A look upon the sea
I hear how water waves
By the sound of thought I breath
I need not see
I need not feel a thing
Beyond my love for you

Wherever you may be
There comes a day
There comes a night
Wherever you may be

This hill I rest upon
What more I need to speak
Should I continue to write
Leave, never look again
Could I be home once
Isn't this enough to understand
How I don't ask for much
Why I don't think more to live

Wherever you may be
There comes a day
There comes a night
Wherever you may be

My Wants Will Be Answered

My wants will be answered
I will not listen to just any words
I will not hear just any melody
However famous anyone becomes
As a friend of mine, as not
I have my likes, I have my needs
My wants will be answered

Takes A Lot For Me To Speak

Takes a lot for me to speak
Takes a lot for me to talk
Takes a lot from you
Always has taken, takes
Takes a lot for me to speak

Return to those hard thought times
Finish my beginning about you
Follow how I trusted you
Continue to believe
Play my day my way

Takes a lot for me to talk
Feel a feeling to sing
Care for my night
Turn dark into light

Takes a lot for me to speak
Takes a lot for me to talk
Takes a lot from you
Always has taken, takes
Takes a lot for me to speak

Say true of you
Send through to you

Takes a lot to open my door
You know to bring real
Call for my love to share again
Takes a lot to open my door

Takes a lot for me to speak
Takes a lot for me to talk
Takes a lot from you
Always has taken, takes
Takes a lot for me to speak

You Were Gold To Me

You were gold to me
The only gold could ever be

I remember
When I first took your shoes
Lay them in front of me
How I used to look at you
How life could be

I would dream of love until
Until love came to me within
I wouldn't let go
You meant so much to me

You were gold to me
The only gold could ever be

I danced with you
I sang for you
I longed for you
I wanted you so much

You were gold to me
The only gold could ever be

My Ride In The Morning

My ride in the morning is you
My home in my heart always

Everything I love to do
The sun, the sand, the shade
The life I live

Every room to share
Every hold of me near
Every not so easy to find care

My ride in the morning is you
My home in my heart always

Not in love, just love
I will always be there
Not in love, just love

My ride in the morning is you
My home in my heart always

There Isn't Much More To Love

There isn't much more to love as life away from you

Every time I go to sit along side of my favorite thought
I never find you there as once was my very own
I then look at the ride I made to turn my moment
Into why make another day where I won't feel different

If only to hold a sun, a breeze, outdoors as seems
I won't have anything other than I see only me
The night, the evening, the wait you will be round again
How do I then make morning, day my everlasting

There isn't much more to love as life away from you

Wanted or not in these memories, what are they for
Why do I need another sky to show through my door
To be offered near everything, my perfect harmony
My place of peace hidden away in you, my reason

There isn't much more to love as life away from you

....

Those People To Touch Me

Those people to touch me
Some I know, some never seen
But my writings are of my life
My real time on this earth and why

How I was near you at times
How I was away
Who carried me through
For the closeness of my need

Those people to touch me
Some I know, some never seen
But my writings are of my life
My real time on this earth and why

If I spent my day, night on anyone
I would never share how I hold you
What away from you meant, means
What watching you now says to me

Those people to touch me
Some I know, some never seen
But my writings are of my life
My real time on this earth and why

Those people to touch me
Some I know, some never seen
But my writings are of my life
My real time on this earth and why

Going Around

Going around
I know my baby
Close or far
If he has something for me
Or nothing at all
I can tell when he thinks
Why he isn't in thought
Never following him
With him at all times
Love is something within
Add then to the outside
Still missing the very love
Going around
Going around

Isolated Free

In this night
As so many
I was sure of you

Talked into my quiet
Strong some days
Weak now

Unsure of my time

Isolated free
Could seem extreem

Needed to speak
Needed to be needed
As I need

You may learn
There is no way out
Find all

Isolated free

Time Doesn't Change Anything

Time doesn't change anything
You can't hurt me anymore
No care to end how I feel
Sing with you until I hear you
What if I turn all music away
Only let the sound of you play
Don't you see how the sun is deceit
After a solemn day of brown as white
Yellow and purple are empty
I watched how you would look at me
The smile in your eyes
Your happiess touched mine
Time doesn't change anything

....

Just Hanging Around

Just hanging around listening to old sounds I have to hold through you
Waiting on a new thought to send along for you to pick up on I still live
I don't know how I got here as I see this isn't a new day only different
Watching for the same signs of life for you after we lost each other
None of the beats bring you true though I never expected to find real
Tones with colors flash by beats of nothing like who was the guitar man
Tell me something I don't know I might stop on another woman some time too
I traveled to the village to know you, met everyone until who tell me
Tell someone I haven't enjoyed the pleasure of learning from I asked for
I don't forget you, the stairs, every love around you but you forget me
Tell me something of the Washington bridge I didn't walk
Come on tell me the years, days, months, can't you share anything of us
Just hanging around listening to old sounds I have to hold through you

...

Backwards Motion

Backwards motion came at me yesterday today won't let me move on
I didn't choose to feel feelings I thought were gone
Better yet taken away by the way I had to live as a child for why
Who watches in on every turn made for life we don't see until when
We talk again of memories I had no chance to change still unheard
There is love of friends, love of love, then there is love of you
Should I have to walk away from you longer I continue nothing said
I think anything I live will have a touch of you within
Far may seem wrong, why, how any meaning is true
Something says heart from you had to be real
But I really don't know what next will come through
So I can take hold of life with the reason continues life
Backwards motion came at me yesterday today won't let me move on

...

If You Can't Be Here

If you can't be here what can I do but leave you
Write another tune, enjoy the moment once we shared
Turn away for my next day as I play with the sky
Take life as a new time to begin with your love again
I'm not so behind your time you think is true
More of anything from a small town to a city alright
In and out of a need comes around then fails to end
So I treasure a word more than you oh yea this is real
Look at all of the words I tried on you got nowhere
Then when thousands of years from now you look at me
Don't forget I also chose to believe in you every night
If you can't be here what can I do but leave you

...

The Hole In The Roof

The hole in the roof was sent to enjoy
This good catch as my history walks by again
I was in the mood for an old story missed
Was held on a wait for the sound around to break
Needed a new set of stairs to take
Days of late must be given the love deserved
Don't know the end cause I may never get there
I am through with most dedications tonight
Came across you to finish off the the light
Still doesn't shine right why did you quit
Wouldn't you have guessed I would remember you
Couldn't I have been more clear yea I know
Heard about the way a man gotta grow, follow snow
The hole in the roof was sent to enjoy

....

If I Leave

If I leave I won't return again
Nothing you can say will save your wish
I don't need to hear where I went wrong
As long as I made it to today
You treat me like a child I once was
Sure some women are different than I
What do you think the sun does to the sky
It's hard for me to understand how love turns
Love into anyone's hands no care to love
Before I go when you want to know why
Look at how you forgot you send me along
If I leave I won't return again
Nothing you can say will save your wish

...

I Can't Complain

I can't complain about the scars I keep
How about your own do you notice to care
Or just wipe your memory clean
You moved into the 80s away from me
I was near only you wouldn't see
You forgot to believe in our song
No harm done as we both moved along
Your love was still true in a different way
I found many friends to see today
Do you hear yourself think before you need
I can't complain about the scars I keep

...

Leave It To You

Leave it to you to keep the end true
I was just writing along times now gone
Found a few memories were strong to hold on
Then you had to return to my mind now
After so many calls my father refused
Oh I remember the 60s early 70s
I wasn't allowed to return your call
No one heard my loss but I survived
Broke away from however every tie
Only yesterday was gone and I couldn't move
I tried to explain by way of my songs
Nothing brought you back around
I would have to forget anyone was in my life
How do you think that touched my heart
And I was over all of that emptiness tonight
But here goes another thousand tunes in my reach
Leave it to you to keep the end true

...

Remember The Wall

Remember the wall
Of a long road was wrong
I miss how my bangles were held
Beds of days gone can't return
What a waste to memory now
Up against the wall taken by the end
Remember my friends taken by the end
Yes I know the memory is clear
Takes some time often to get there
Don't tell me where I been
Who I known, what I found, how I feel
Seems was out of bounds
Not everyone shares tomorrow
Remember the wall

...

No One Has To Convince Me

No one has to convince me of any memory I share
So I leave the next touch of day for whenever morning says
Who was I to wake with when we get down to the truth
Let's just take a ride along any show of attention from you
Then talk about what happened between us as so many other friends
I was never allowed to have
oh I'll grow tired as I always do for how real these thoughts come through
But I must live this life as if you didn't exist
Would I turn away from anyone think of this on my own want
Would I have not answered your call had there not been someone to refuse
Would I want less than the best for you no care to where I am
Some people tend to believe love is more than wife after wife another kind
I carry with me love I had to forget to find
My hold plays with night for whatever evening sends
No one has to convince me of any memory I share

Making Rain

Making rain this is all I know
Trying to find understanding's road
Making rain paying with my heart
Once protected by you

Making rain in my sleep
Win this world one time
Making rain I never said goodbye
How time plays with my eyes

Making rain is my life

I speak to no one though I try
Holding reason alive for a song
Just to carry feelings along
I'll follow you after the sun

Making rain is my life

Making rain it's my life

I speak to no one though I try
Holding reason alive for a song
Just to carry feelings along
I'll follow you after the sun

Making rain is my life

Making rain it's my life

Making rain is my life

Making rain it's my life

Only One Light

On a broken old chair
In a dirty old room
With only one light
Only one light
To see my way
Only one light
To shine on me
Only one light
I can't understand
I can't hear why
Only one light
On a broken old chair
In a dirty old room
With only one light
